Message Statistics

With the introduction of our new AntiSpam system, message statistics are not quantifiable in the same manner, and as such are longer published. However, in the days since its January 20th introduction:
Messages processed: 145,374 (8027.5 per day)
Spams rejected: 118,582
Viruses blocked by gateway: 3,157
Viruses blocked by (now) secondary antivirus system: (untallied, but relatively small number)
Percentage of mail that is Spam or Virus Infected: 83.7%*
These statistics were compiled using data from February 16, 2004 1:46 pm US Pacific time
*This number is actually a bit higher as the secondary antivirus system bags about 10 emails daily that are missed by the primary spam/antivirus gateway.
