December 3, 2003

The last 30 days have been tumultuous for the anti-spam system.  For starters, there was a 38% increase in caught spam.  Our capture techniques improved, as we flat-out deleted almost 45,000 more junk messages this month than in October.

We also switched over to the "You Have Spam" delivery system.  This ensures that questionable mail is never kept from you.  However, it also loads up your inbox.  We have some options available that can clear this up.  Please check them out.

On the 20th of November, due to an inability to exercise complete control over the results generated by it, we dropped the use of our secondary anti-spam system.  This caused your spam to increase for awhile.  We have spent quite a bit of time tinkering with and jiggering the primary anti-spam system to fine-tune its collection capabilities.  Major changes have been going on as recently as yesterday.  For now -- in an environment where change is constant -- it appears as if we have an even stronger system than ever.

Should you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me.
