Installation
- Enable the included datasource, either via the creation of an entirely new one in the ColdFusion Administrator or by transferring the included tables to an existing datasource.
- Integrate the rating system into your existing cart software.
- If you plan on having your visitors pick their geographic region for proper assignment of UPS' Extended Area Surcharge, use the demo files runme.cfm, runme_entryform.cfm and runme_results.cfm.
- If you plan on using the AutoXArea=Y feature (v1.41 and above) use autoxarea_entryform.cfm and autoxarea_results.cfm as your examples (note this demo was kept very simple). This method results in the easiest, most free-flowing checkout forms.
- Install the locally-specific zone table. Instructions are linked at left.
- Transfer the request variable settings in application.cfm to your own existing application.cfm. Set them as needed (leave the database username and password as-is if you don't need to use them).
- If you want to take advantage of the optional surcharge administrative application, get a free copy of GridMonger and unzip it to a temp folder. Remove all files from the root gridmonger folder except gridmonger.cfm and gridmonger.css. Copy the remaining files and subfolders to UPSR's /admin/ subfolder. The surcharge admin application is now workable from UPSR's admin interface.
The Admin interface for zone files allows a user to create tables and import data into a datasource on your system. Don't leave these files on a production server without taking appropriate security precautions.
